Frequently Asked Questions
Greetings from the beautiful beaches of St Pete/Clearwater and Tampa Bay! We compiled a list of questions and answers based on what we chat with guests about most often. We hope this information will help you in planning a fabulous vacation.
Notice: Face coverings are encouraged in lobbies and elevators. Masks are required in all JC Resorts offices.
What time is Check-In and Check Out?
Check-In begins at 4:00 pm. Check-In runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on busy Saturdays in peak rental periods.
We can check you in earlier if the accommodation is ready. You can always enjoy the beach while you wait. Leave us your cell number and we will call you once your accommodation is ready. Check-Out is at 10:00 am or earlier. Please check with us if you plan to arrive after office hours or plan to leave before the office opens. We can arrange for late arrivals and for early departures.
Where do we Check-In?
Please check your confirmation. We have two offices on the beach. Your confirmation will direct you to the right location. Please call if you have questions.
What happens if I need maintenance, housekeeping, or notice a problem during my stay?
Please contact the office where you picked up your keys. Please let us know as soon as possible. Our maintenance and housekeeping staff are here to help. Please let us know if you are unsure as to how to operate appliances, electronics, etc.
Contact our emergency service for after-hours emergencies.
Are late departures possible?
Occasionally, during slower rental periods, we may be able to accommodate a later departure time.
Please check with our office for availability and price. Late departures cannot be confirmed until the day before your scheduled departure.
Do we return keys to the office?
Yes, all keys/fobs/electronic openers, etc., must be returned to the office where received. Lost /non-returned key charges range from $10 each to $75 each. Exact costs depend on building regulations.
What if we get locked out?
Please contact our after-hours emergency service by calling the local office location where you picked up your keys. The charge for each lockout is $75.00. Charges for lost keys are extra.
How do we arrange a Late Arrival?
We offer a convenient lockbox pick-up at each of our beach offices. Please contact us for instructions and access codes. Arrivals after 5:00 pm must be confirmed in advance. Late arrival codes change regularly so please check with the office a day or two before your arrival.
When do we submit our Guest Rental Agreement?
Guest Rental Agreements, along with deposits, must be received in our office within 14 days of making your reservation. We cannot guarantee reservations without deposits and a signed/completed Guest Rental Agreement. Subsequent changes to your Guest Rental Agreement must be submitted in writing.
Do you allow pets?
No. Sorry, pets are not allowed.
Do you offer monthly rentals?
Yes, most accommodations offer monthly rentals. Please check with our reservations staff for more information.
Do we need to bring linens and towels?
No, vacation rentals are supplied with appropriate linen for each bed and an extra set of linen for accommodations with sleeper sofas. We supply bath towels, hand towels, face cloths, and bath mats for each bath. Linens, towels, etc., are supplied according to the number of guests you have registered for your rental. We do not supply beach towels so we suggest you plan to bring them. They are also available in local shops and retailers.
Are kitchens equipped?
Yes, all kitchens are equipped with cutlery, dishes, glasses, bakeware, pots and pans, toaster, can opener, coffee maker, teapot, microwave, full-size oven/range, refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, dishwasher, etc. All kitchens are furnished with appliances and inventory. Please let us know if you need something and we will do our best!
How are bathrooms supplied?
As mentioned previously, face cloths, hand towels, bath towels, and bath mats are supplied. We also set each bathroom up with trash bags, bathroom tissue, facial, and bath soap. Most accommodations do not have hairdryers (we are working on this). We do have loaners in the office that you may borrow during your stay.
What about laundry and washer/dryers?
Almost all accommodations have washers & dryers. Some do not. Our website has this information listed for each accommodation. In addition, there are convenient coin-operated laundries available on-site when washers & dryers are not available in the accommodation.
How old do you have to be to rent a vacation rental?
You must be at least 25 years of age. We have strict rules requiring parents/responsible adults to be on the property at all times. We do not rent for any parties, functions, “beach week”, and/or non-family type spring break rentals.
How many people are allowed in my vacation rental?
Each vacation rental has specified sleeping accommodations in the website listing. Rates quoted are for:
Two persons (over 12 years of age) in a one-bedroom
Four persons (over 12 years of age) in a two-bedroom
Six persons (over 12 years of age) in a three-bedroom
We do not charge for children 12 and under. The rental listing lets you know the number of people the vacation rental sleeps (ex: 4, 6, 8, or 10). The rate changes if you exceed the approved/listed number of persons over 12 years of age. The rate for extra persons is $10 per night per person plus tax. Each vacation rental has a maximum occupancy limit. Maximum occupancy limits are strictly enforced.
All guests must be listed when completing /submitting your Guest Rental Agreement.
Accommodations and property amenities are for use only by registered guests.
Is parking free? What are the parking rules?
Parking is free. All accommodations provide at least one parking space. Some properties offer two spaces for larger-sized accommodations. No properties allow parking for boats, trailers, campers, RVs, or oversized vehicles. There are marinas close by that can accommodate boats, trailers, jet skis, etc. All vehicles must display a valid/current parking permit. Parking varies by location. Some parking is assigned and some are by permit only, depending on specific building regulations. Parking permits and detailed instructions are provided at check-in.
Can we get extra parking permits?
Regulations are very strict and parking is limited. During slow rental seasons, we may be able to accommodate an extra vehicle. This is not possible during peak rental seasons. This is also not possible at some locations.
Is there a minimum stay requirement? Do we check-in and out on specific days?
Most rentals are 7-night minimum stays year-round. Most, are rented from Saturday to Saturday. Some rentals go from Friday to Friday or Sunday to Sunday. Please check rental listings or call to inquire. Some accommodations will rent shorter stays and offer alternative arrival/departure days in slower rental seasons. Please check with our reservations staff.
Do you rent cribs, high chairs, strollers, and other baby items?
We do not rent these items but do have a preferred vendor: Our Little Suitcase 727-498-1124
They are the only provider we recommend. In our experience, Our Little Suitcase maintains high standards of product safety, sanitization, and service. They also rent beach equipment, chairs, coolers, etc.
My family is staying next door. May we move items from one rental to another?
No. Each vacation rental is privately owned and inventoried and…is someone’s second home. Please do not remove or move any items. Please let us know if something gets broken or damaged. You may be charged for missing or damaged items.
Do we have to clean before we leave?
No. The only things we ask are that you please: (1) load and start the dishwasher,(2) throw your garbage down the trash chute, (3) turn off lights and small appliances, and that you make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked. Please stop by the office for extra garbage bags or if you need dishwasher detergent for the final load.
Do you offer travel insurance?

Where can we find more information on the property and local area?
Each accommodation is supplied with a JC Resorts Guest Information Directory. The directory has a myriad of information that may be of service to you during your stay. It contains helpful information on the operation of appliances, where things are located in the building, local TV stations, golf courses, grocery stores, attractions, information on local restaurants, and more.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL RESORTS – No glassware, glass bottles, containers, etc., are allowed on the pool or spa decks or in the pool, spa, grill or tennis areas.
BEACH COMMUNITIES do not allow any glassware, glass bottles, containers, etc., on the beach. Also, no items may be left on the beach overnight. Any items left after dark may be collected by the municipality and disposed of as needed.
